The Algerian national football team will miss the efforts of two players in the upcoming match against Guinea Conakry on Monday.
This match will be held in Morocco as part of the eighth round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The players concerned are defender Rami Ben Seghir and striker Baghdad Bounedjah, who are suspended due to disciplinary reasons. Accumulating two yellow cards automatically disqualifies a player from the next qualifying match following the second warning.
Ben Seghir and Bounedjah received yellow cards against Botswana on Thursday evening, after having been shown yellow cards in the second round of qualifiers against the host Mozambique and the fourth round away against Uganda, respectively.
It can be said that national coach Djamel Belmadi will be deprived of the services of two highly skilled players in an important match to qualify for the World Cup.
Belmadi had called up 26 players, including Ben Seghir and Bounedjah, among whom are three goalkeepers.
