Kim Song Gyong, North Korea’s Deputy Foreign Minister, told the United Nations General Assembly on Monday that his country will never give up its nuclear program, describing such a demand as “equivalent to asking it to give up its sovereignty and right to exist.”
This is the first time North Korea has sent an official from Pyongyang to deliver a speech at the annual world leaders’ meeting of the UN General Assembly since its Foreign Minister’s visit to New York in 2018.
