Egypt’s national team has joined the list of teams qualified for the 2026 World Cup finals, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, after defeating Djibouti 3-0 in the ninth round of the African qualifiers for the World Cup.

The Pharaohs became the 19th team to secure their place in the 2026 World Cup, scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026.

Egypt has qualified for the World Cup for the fourth time in its history, having previously participated in 1934, 1990, and 2018.

Egypt will conclude its World Cup qualifying campaign by facing Guinea-Bissau next Sunday.

It is noteworthy that the 2026 World Cup draw will be held on December 5.
