The Moroccan national team qualified for the quarterfinals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Chile by defeating the United States 3-1 on Sunday in an exciting match.
Fouad Zahwani opened the scoring for Morocco in the 31st minute, before the American team equalized in stoppage time of the first half with a penalty scored by Cole Campbell.
Morocco regained the lead in the 67th minute after defender Joshua Weinder scored an own goal, before Yassine Jassim sealed the victory for his country three minutes before the end.
With this win, Morocco reached the semifinals for the second time in its history after the 2005 edition in the Netherlands, and will face the winner of the France vs Norway match in the next game.
