Michael Salisbury was replaced by referee Jon Brooks for the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) role during the Liverpool vs Arsenal match, according to the British newspaper “Mirror.”
This comes after the Premier League Referees’ Committee (PGMOL) admitted that Salisbury made an error by disallowing Fulham’s goal against Chelsea (0-2) at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Fulham goal scored by Joshua King was canceled after a VAR review due to a prior foul in midfield before the goal, when Rodrigo Muniz was stepped on by a Chelsea player.
