Several Syrian investors emphasized the importance of the facilitation and practical measures taken after the liberation of Syria, especially regarding commercial, investment, and industrial activities. These measures contributed to shortening the time needed to establish service and production projects, supply materials, manufacturing, production, and reaching consumers and service recipients.

One investor noted that since he started building his factory, the city administration has assisted him at every stage of work, highlighting the provided facilities and procedures, particularly those related to easing the import of machinery and production lines and reducing customs fees, which helped lower project costs and increase the competitiveness of his products.

Businessman Raed Saqr praised the removal of all complications, bureaucracy, and difficulties that businessmen faced during the previous regime, explaining that many facilities were included in the new investment decree regarding project establishment, financing, and guaranteeing investors’ rights.

Trader Mohammad Jamal Al-Khaled pointed out the importance of removing all laws related to foreign currency trading, which helped traders work easily and smoothly, import raw materials and products, and even price them.

Al-Khaled praised the cessation of the export financing platform, which used to cost traders and industrialists about 50% of the product value during the previous regime, thus increasing product costs and reflecting on consumers. He confirmed that all these financial burdens were removed, reducing the costs of national and imported products, making them affordable for citizens at reasonable prices.

The Damascus International Fair recorded a large public attendance during five days of official events, with the number of visitors reaching 891,000. It included the participation of 800 local, Arab, and foreign companies, with official representation from 44 countries, reflecting significant local and international interest in this prominent economic and cultural event in Syria.
