The movie ‘Al-Shater’ starring the star Amir Karara earned revenues of 1,704,765 pounds on Friday, bringing the total earnings in Egyptian cinemas during one month of screening to 80,724,297 pounds. Regarding the behind-the-scenes, Amir Karara told Youm7: “The movie experience is new for me, and it is the first time I work with director Ahmed El Gendy, who is a great and prominent director,” noting that he contacted him to collaborate. He added: “I left myself to director Ahmed El Gendy, who has a strong sense of comedy, especially with the presence of Mostafa Gharib, Hana El Zahed, and all the stars.” The movie’s events start with the character Adham, played by Amir Karara, embarking on an adventurous and comedic journey to find his brother, aided by his friend Fatouh, played by Mostafa Gharib.
While in Turkey, he meets Carmen, played by Hana El Zahed, who changes his life dramatically as they go through a series of chases and comedic situations. ‘Al-Shater’ is written by Ahmed El Gendy, Karim Youssef, Ashraf Nasr, and Sameh Gamal, directed by Ahmed El Gendy, and stars Amir Karara, Hana El Zahed, Adel Karam, Mostafa Gharib, Ahmed Essam El Sayed, and others, with guest appearances by Khaled El Sawy, Sherine Reda, and Mohamed Abdelrahman Tota. The film is produced by Synergy Plus and is an action comedy.
