By the end of the past August, cement shipments sold in Morocco, delivered by members of the Professional Association of Cement Companies (APC), continued their strong upward momentum recorded in previous months, reaching 9.6 million tons compared to 8.7 million tons in the same period of 2024; representing an increase of 10.38%, according to data from the Ministry of National Territory Planning, Urban Planning, Housing, and City Policy.

The monthly memo data on cement sales development up to the end of August 2025, issued by the responsible ministry, confirms continuous growth during August alone; total cement sales reached 1.3 million tons compared to 1.2 million tons in August 2024, indicating an increase estimated at 6.54%.

Regarding categories and sales branches, the same data indicated that “sales directed for distribution” recorded 5.27 million tons, followed by “ready-to-use concrete” at 2.4 million tons, then “pre-mixed concrete” at 984,097 tons; in addition to notable growth in “infrastructure” (627,815 tons), construction (280,154 tons), and “mortar” (43,561 tons).

The August data confirms the continuation of unprecedented growth and momentum marking the development of cement sales in Morocco, the main indicator measuring the activity of the construction and public works sector, since the beginning of this year which witnessed the completion or continuation of several open projects in various regions of the kingdom; especially in public investment sectors (dams and water facilities, roads, ports, airports, as well as sports infrastructure works).

July 2025 alone recorded a remarkable sales increase of 17.57% compared to the same month last year.

It is worth noting that this growth relates to data extracted from internal information of the members of the Professional Association of Cement Companies, reflecting the performance of association members which include the companies: “Cement Temara”, “Atlas Cement”, “Cement Morocco”, “LafargeHolcim Morocco”, and “Novacem” (member since January 2024).
