With this return, the authority has reiterated to school administrations and school bus operators all matters related to health and safety and maintaining a safe and successful educational environment.

The authority places great importance on health and safety awareness, closely monitoring schools and operators’ compliance with the stipulated procedures and requirements. School bus operators and school administrations must maintain student safety and provide a safe and comfortable environment inside the buses for students, supervisors, and drivers alike. Specialized teams from the authority conduct inspection campaigns on bus operators to ensure their adherence to school transport laws and regulations. Students are also required to follow supervisors’ instructions when boarding and alighting from buses, with supervisors ensuring students are accompanied to the nearest point to their homes. The authority also urged school bus operators to instruct drivers to comply with traffic laws, especially in streets and areas surrounding and near schools, and to avoid obstructing the movement of other vehicles on the roads.
