The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development intensified its inspection efforts on private sector establishments across various regions of the Kingdom. Since the beginning of 2025 until August 16, the ministry’s inspection teams conducted over 912,000 field visits.

The ministry confirmed that these tours are part of its ongoing plans to regulate the labor market and ensure establishments comply with laws and regulations, aiming to enhance effective oversight and raise compliance levels, thereby providing a more efficient and disciplined work environment.

During this period, the intensive inspection tours resulted in recording 252,219 various labor law violations and taking legal actions against non-compliant establishments, while 98,462 establishments were warned to correct their status.

The ministry gave top priority to Saudization within its labor market development strategies. A large portion of the inspection visits focused on monitoring establishments’ adherence to Saudization decisions and programs. During the same period, inspection teams conducted more than 586,104 field visits targeting Saudization compliance, resulting in 15,877 violations related solely to non-compliance with Saudization decisions and employing non-Saudi workers in jobs reserved for Saudis. This helped protect job opportunities for citizens. These intensive efforts contributed to creating and documenting more than 49,509 new jobs for Saudis in the private sector during the same period.

The ministry also recorded several violations related to wage protection systems and delayed salary payments, which were addressed to ensure workers receive their dues on time and their rights are preserved. Continuous follow-up enabled many establishments to correct their course and avoid escalating penalties, positively impacting the work environment and raising compliance levels in the private sector.

There was a noticeable increase in private sector establishments’ compliance with Saudization decisions, reflecting the effectiveness of field inspection mechanisms integrated with the ministry’s policies aimed at enhancing labor market stability and consolidating governance practices. These improvements enabled many establishments to achieve their Saudization targets, positively affecting market efficiency and its ability to attract national talents.

As part of community partnership, the ministry received 44,547 reports from the public about violations detected in the labor market during the same period, which were promptly addressed according to approved procedures, reflecting the effectiveness of the ministry’s monitoring and response system. Additionally, 14,657 reports were received and processed within specified deadlines during the first quarter of this year.

These efforts align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to build a prosperous labor market attractive to talents and increase Saudi participation in the national economy. Through its regulatory and oversight roles, the ministry focuses on developing the work environment, ensuring compliance with laws, activating Saudization programs, and monitoring labor market performance to meet the vision’s aspirations and enhance operational efficiency and sustainable growth.
