The Embassy of Qatar in Cairo announced its follow-up on the traffic accident in Sharm El-Sheikh that caused the death of three members of the Amiri Diwan while performing their duties, noting that their bodies will be transferred to the country today.
The Qatari embassy issued a statement following the incident that resulted in the death of three members of the Qatari delegation currently working in Egypt, and the injury of two others who are receiving necessary medical treatment at Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital.
The embassy also expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery for the injured, praising the cooperation shown by the Egyptian authorities and their keenness and attention in following up the accident and providing the necessary facilitation.
The accident occurred on Saturday evening on the “Sharm El-Sheikh-Tor Sinai” road, where a Qatari diplomatic car carrying members of the delegation arranging to welcome the Emir of Qatar overturned, resulting in the death of Hassan Jaber Al-Jaber, Abdullah Ghanem Al-Khuwairin, and Saud bin Thamer Al-Thani, who are employees of the Amiri Diwan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Two others were seriously injured and transferred to the hospital.
