Everton’s official account on X released a short video revealing the stages of building their new stadium “Hill Dickinson,” which hosted the team’s first official match of the new Premier League season yesterday, Sunday. The stadium took 4 years to build, has a capacity of 52,888 spectators, cost one billion dollars, and is also scheduled to host matches in the UEFA Euro 2028 tournament. The stadium is named after “Hill Dickinson,” a renowned British law firm, under a long-term naming rights deal, granting the company naming rights for the club’s stadium located in the “Bramley-Moore Dock” area of Liverpool. Everton announced the new facility would be called “Hill Dickinson Stadium,” describing it as one of the largest stadium naming rights deals in Europe. Everton started their journey at the new stadium with an exciting 2-0 victory over Brighton in the Premier League.
History was made by Ilyas Ndiaye – the last player to score at the old Goodison Park – who scored the first goal at the new stadium, while James Garner scored the second.
