The Syrian Arab Republic expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the State of Qatar, its leadership and people, over the death of several of its diplomats in a tragic traffic accident that occurred in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh, affirming its full solidarity with Qatar in this painful circumstance.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement today: “With deep sorrow and grief, we received the news of the death of several Qatari diplomats in a tragic traffic accident on the road to the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh. The Syrian Arab Republic, while consoling the State of Qatar, its leadership and people, in this great loss, extends its sincerest condolences and highest feelings of sympathy to the families of the victims.”
The ministry added: “Syria affirms its support for Qatar in this difficult time, and we pray to Almighty God to shower the deceased with His vast mercy, grant them paradise, grant speedy recovery to the injured, and inspire their families with patience and solace.”
