Cairo, 3 September /BNA/ His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, affirmed that the relationship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt is strategic and based on strong fraternal bonds rooted in a long history of brotherhood and close cooperation. This relationship continues to grow and prosper across all fields under the care and attention of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the esteemed King of Bahrain, and his brother, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, aiming to achieve shared visions and aspirations that benefit both countries and peoples.

This came during His Royal Highness’s meeting with his brother, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, as part of the official visit to the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt. The Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King to President El-Sisi and His Majesty’s wishes for further progress and prosperity for Egypt. In return, President El-Sisi entrusted His Royal Highness to convey his greetings to His Majesty the King and his wishes for continued growth and advancement for the Kingdom of Bahrain.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness praised the progress and growth witnessed in Bahraini-Egyptian relations across various fields, thanks to the joint agreements and effective partnerships between the two countries. He emphasized the importance of building on the achieved cooperation and joint coordination to continue advancing bilateral relations towards higher levels and promising opportunities that fulfill shared aspirations and goals.

The Crown Prince highlighted Egypt’s pivotal role in consolidating the pillars of security and stability in the region, supporting the Arab joint action, Arab nation issues, and its honorable stances towards the Kingdom of Bahrain. He praised Egypt’s ongoing developmental achievements under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and expressed his wishes for Egypt and its brotherly people to enjoy continued prosperity and elevation.

His Royal Highness also pointed to the importance of agreements and declarations to be made during this visit, which will open new horizons for bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries and strengthen their solid partnership towards more advanced prospects.

The meeting also reviewed ways to develop bilateral cooperation and coordination, discussed the latest regional and international developments, and topics of common interest. They affirmed their joint support for all efforts aimed at enhancing international peace and stability.

Additionally, they reaffirmed the firm position of both brotherly countries supporting the Palestinian cause, stressing the necessity of reaching a just and lasting solution that guarantees the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, the importance of stopping escalation, protecting civilians, releasing hostages and detainees, alongside continuing relief efforts in Gaza and its reconstruction. His Royal Highness praised the active humanitarian role played by the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt and friendly countries in this regard.
