The German national team started its campaign in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers disappointingly after a surprising 2-0 defeat against host Slovakia in the first round of Group 1 matches on Thursday.
The Slovak team owes its victory to two goals scored by Atlético Madrid striker David Hanko (42nd minute) and David Strelík (55th minute).
