Ahmed Sayed “Zizo” made sure to celebrate his current team Al Ahly’s 2-1 victory over his former club Zamalek on Monday evening, during the ninth round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Despite missing the match after being excluded from Al Ahly’s squad for technical reasons, due to a groin injury that prevented him from participating in recent games, Zizo did not hesitate to support his teammates from afar.

After the Al Ahly vs. Zamalek match ended, Zizo posted on his Instagram story a picture of the “Red Devils” fans with the caption: “Congratulations, heroes.”

He also sent supportive messages to his two teammates who shone in the match against Zamalek, posting a photo of Hussein El Shahat, who scored Al Ahly’s equalizer and earned the penalty that led to the winning goal, jokingly writing: “Small body… Ah, but a ninja!”

As for his teammate Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet,” who converted the penalty into the decisive goal, he wrote: “Thanks, Trezeguet!”

With this win, Al Ahly raised its points tally to 15, occupying third place in the Egyptian Premier League standings, two points behind Zamalek, who played one more match than the “Red Devils.”
