The South Korean President Lee Jae-myung proposed holding a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un later this year, should Trump decide to visit South Korea to attend a regional forum. The South Korean presidential spokesperson mentioned that Lee and Trump had an “enjoyable” meeting during which they exchanged compliments and discussed assassination attempts targeting them.
