Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, along with his entourage, inspected the “T&C” ready-made garments factory during his tour in Qalyubia Governorate to review several developmental and service projects.

The Prime Minister listened to a presentation by Eng. Magdy Talba, Chairman of “T&C” company, about the company, its business developments, exports, and future expansions. He explained that “T&C” is an Egyptian-Turkish company established in 2010 in the city of Obour, with a 50% Egyptian and 50% Turkish partnership, and a capital of 3.5 million USD. The company started production in 2011 with initial investments of about 14 million USD, while the total capital and investments reached approximately 70 million USD this year.

Talba noted that the company provides around 7,200 permanent jobs, with a production capacity of 55,000 pieces daily, aiming to increase production to 75,000 pieces daily in the near future, equivalent to about 17 million pieces annually. The company targets sales of 120 million USD by the end of this year and seeks to reach 200 million USD through full exports.

He also stated that the company relies on the latest manufacturing technologies to enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian industry in global markets. The entire production is regularly exported to more than 50 countries, with the United States accounting for 75% of exports, and 25% exported to European countries, supplying major global brands. The company also coordinates with the American and British universities to strengthen the link between education and industry.

Regarding efforts to support the green economy and sustainable development, Talba explained that the company established a modern water treatment plant worth 750,000 euros with a capacity of 3,000 cubic meters per day, using the latest advanced technologies. He highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainable development principles through investment in a solar power generation project, with investments estimated at about 1 million USD, aiming to enhance the use of clean energy in production operations. Additionally, the company recycles fabric scraps into new products sold locally and exported abroad.

During the tour, the Prime Minister inspected the laundry facility, which Talba described as the largest in the Middle East and the world in terms of equipment and expansions, equipped with the latest machinery from global brands. Madbouly also reviewed the jeans production stages including cutting, preparation, and assembly, inspected the laser section used for creating various designs on pants, and concluded the tour by visiting the jeans quality testing lab where products undergo about 21 tests before final preparation.

Before concluding his visit, the Prime Minister had a friendly conversation with a female production line worker, inquiring about her qualifications, residence, and ease of commuting, where she confirmed the company provides a very suitable work environment.
