Dr. Ahmed Mostafa, head of the General Authority for Health Insurance, conducted an inspection tour of the Tanta Medical Complex in Gharbia Governorate to review the medical services provided and to monitor the complex’s readiness to offer comprehensive and effective healthcare. This visit was in line with directives from Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, emphasizing the importance of regular follow-up of health institutions and continuous development of infrastructure and performance efficiency to ensure high-quality medical services across the country.
During the tour, Dr. Mostafa inspected departments including oncology, biological therapy, intensive care, cardiac care and catheterization, kidney unit, and emergency services. He listened to patients’ opinions and complaints, directing prompt action to resolve them. He also ensured the availability of medicines and supplies and the application of infection control standards to facilitate services and enhance the quality of medical care.
The medical complex is one of the authority’s medical facilities, equipped with advanced medical devices and containing 234 beds. It offers comprehensive diagnostic services including medical laboratories, radiology departments, reception, and emergency services. Therapeutic specialties include chest diseases, orthopedics, oncology, gastroenterology and liver, neurology, cardiology, urology, nephrology, internal medicine, and intensive care.
Surgical departments include eye surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, endoscopic surgeries, cardiac catheterization, urological surgery, vascular surgery, oncology surgery, gastrointestinal endoscopy, and surgical endoscopy. Chemotherapy and dialysis are provided using the latest methods with the highest quality and safety standards.
The complex actively participates in presidential initiatives, including the initiative to eliminate waiting lists, which helps accelerate and facilitate patients’ access to vital services.
Dr. Ahmed Atta, head of the Central Administration for Medical Affairs, accompanied Dr. Mostafa, who was received by Dr. Karim Barakat, General Manager of the Gharbia branch, and Dr. Ahmed Hussein Salem, General Manager of the hospital.
At the end of his tour, Dr. Mostafa emphasized the authority’s commitment to monitoring and improving the level of medical services to ensure comprehensive and safe healthcare that achieves patient satisfaction and meets their needs.
