Dr. Pastor André Zaki, President of the Evangelical Church in Egypt, inaugurated the Youth Pastors Conference, which started on Monday, August 25 and continues until Wednesday, August 27. The event includes pastors and their families, along with many leaders from the Nile Evangelical Synod and the General Evangelical Council, including Pastor Mousa Akl Dios, President of the Nile Evangelical Synod, Dr. Pastor Rifaat Fathy, Secretary-General of the General Nile Evangelical Synod, Pastor Rizkallah Noah, Vice President of the Synod, Dr. Pastor Majid Karam, Secretary-General of the Educational Institutions Council, Pastor Eid Salah, President of the Judicial and Constitutional Council, and Pastor Essam Atiya, Chairman of the Evangelical Theological College Board, in addition to Pastor Akram Naji and Pastor Amir Sadiq, members of the General Evangelical Council, and Ms. Hala Touma, Director of Ramses New School.

In his opening speech, Dr. Pastor André Zaki expressed love and appreciation for the pastors and their families, praising their dedication and faithfulness in service. He emphasized that “the local church is the heart of our mission and the cornerstone of our existence, and the life of pastors and their families is the living pulse of this blessed message.” He added, “The future presents great opportunities for the Presbyterian Church, requiring renewed work and faith, while the current church renaissance opens wide horizons carrying new hope.”

During the first session, Pastor Mousa Akl Dios delivered a speech titled “Challenges of Service in the Village,” stressing that pastors in rural areas face doubled responsibilities, serving in environments that require patience and creativity, delivering the gospel message amid social and economic challenges. Pastor Essam Atiya spoke about “Theological Education: Where to?” explaining that theological education is the backbone for preparing faithful and qualified leaders, and that the future demands curriculum development to meet the needs of the new generation.

Dr. Pastor Majid Karam addressed “Challenges of Education for the New Generation,” noting that youth face rapid intellectual and cultural changes, and the church must provide modern and effective education linking faith with daily life. Pastor Eid Salah gave a speech titled “Seriousness of Commitment and Challenges of Service,” affirming that true church service requires full dedication of life, and commitment is the measure of strength in facing difficulties, calling pastors and youth to hold on to the spirit of sacrifice and love.

The three-day conference program includes spiritual and theological sessions, group activities, special youth programs, and open meetings discussing education, service, and family relationships, with participation from specialists and church leaders, aiming to enhance the local church’s mission and renew its role in community service.
