Italian media reports reveal that English club Manchester City is close to signing Italian international goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma from Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth around 30 million euros. According to Football Italia, negotiations between the two clubs are progressing rapidly with mutual confidence in reaching a final agreement soon. The 26-year-old Donnarumma has already agreed on personal terms with Manchester City, giving the green light to complete the transfer and start a new chapter in his career. Although Paris Saint-Germain initially demanded between 45 and 50 million euros, the approaching end of Donnarumma’s contract has led the Parisian club to seriously consider accepting City’s offer to avoid losing him for free at the end of the season. Donnarumma joined Paris Saint-Germain in summer 2021 from AC Milan on a free transfer and has won several domestic and European titles, including PSG’s first-ever UEFA Champions League in 2025.

The Italian goalkeeper is a favorite of coach Pep Guardiola, who sees this deal as a golden opportunity to work with him before missing the chance to sign him in the future.
