Algerian international Abdelrahim Dghmoum stole the spotlight in the start of this season’s Egyptian Premier League after leading his team, Al Masry SC, to a big 4-0 victory over Kahrabaa Ismailia in the fifth round.

Dghmoum was the man of the match, directly contributing to three goals: he earned a penalty that his teammate Salah Mohsen converted into the opening goal (68′), then provided an assist to teammate Omar El Saai (78′), and finally scored the fourth goal himself (89′).

With this goal, Dghmoum raised his tally to 4 goals, taking the lead in the Egyptian Premier League top scorers chart, ahead of his compatriot Mondher Temine and former CS Constantine player and teammate Omar El Saai, who each have 3 goals. He was also awarded the Man of the Match prize by the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association, marking the third time he has won this award in just the first five matches this season.

In statements to On Sport channel, Dghmoum expressed his happiness: “The win is very important for us in the league journey. God willing, we will compete for everything this season, and the team has players capable of achieving great results in the league and cup. Focus and teamwork are the keys to success.”

It is worth noting that Dghmoum, a graduate of Algerian club ES Sétif, has played 5 matches this season with Al Masry SC, scoring 4 goals and providing 5 assists, making him one of the standout stars of the Egyptian league so far.
