His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, affirmed the wise leadership’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for Emirati families by developing community service systems and upgrading infrastructure and residential neighborhood facilities.
His Highness pointed out that citizen welfare remains a top priority of government work, supporting the building of a cohesive society contributing to comprehensive national development. This was during his chairing of the Executive Council meeting of Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, His Highness approved the expansion of the Lifestyle Strategy with an investment of AED 42 billion to improve living quality through projects that facilitate easy access to all essential facilities according to the highest quality standards.
The meeting reviewed the results of the first phase of the strategy, implemented by the Department of Municipalities and Transport, which contributed to raising the average integration rate of residential neighborhoods in the emirate from 67% before implementation to 81% by 2025.
More than 60 projects were completed with a budget of AED 12 billion, including infrastructure and community facilities, notably the establishment of over 200 parks and sports fields, construction of 24 schools, 21 mosques, 28 community councils, development of 120 km of walking paths, 283 km of cycling tracks, 220 km of road lighting, and about 200 beautification and landscaping projects for neighborhoods and public roads.
The meeting also reviewed efforts by the Abu Dhabi Government Enablement Department, in cooperation with various public and private sector entities, to integrate artificial intelligence technologies and solutions into various aspects of government work systems, enhancing efficiency and improving the quality of community services.
His Highness reviewed updates and achievements of the “Abu Dhabi Digital Government Strategy 2025-2027,” which aims to rank the emirate first as an AI-based government by 2027, through investments worth AED 13 billion.
He also reviewed preparations to launch the “Tam 4.0” platform at the “GITEX Global 2025” exhibition, the latest smart government platform capable of anticipating and proactively meeting the needs of individuals and institutions, focusing on fully integrating these technologies into government services and decision-making mechanisms.
Initiatives supporting the establishment of AI’s role in society were also reviewed, including organizing “AI Councils” to enhance dialogue and awareness about the responsible use of AI technologies.
The Abu Dhabi Government Enablement Department also showcased its efforts and initiatives to qualify and train government employees on AI applications, with over 95% of government employees completing comprehensive training on AI applications, alongside the creation of the position of “Chief Digital and AI Technology Officer” in all government departments to lead efforts in adopting and enhancing innovation and digital governance systems.
His Highness emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to maximize the use of advanced technology and AI solutions to raise productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness in Abu Dhabi’s government service system, in line with the goals of the “Abu Dhabi Digital Government Strategy 2025-2027,” contributing to improving the quality of life for community members and meeting the needs and aspirations of citizens and residents across the emirate.
He also reviewed the progress of infrastructure projects in residential areas and directed accelerating work pace to enhance quality of life and improve services provided to citizens and residents in Abu Dhabi.
