A responsible source in the public business sector confirmed that companies affiliated with the Holding Company for Construction and Development, one of the Ministry of Public Business Sector’s companies, are actively participating in implementing the “Hayah Kareema” initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to develop the Egyptian countryside. The volume of work assigned to these companies has reached about 25 billion Egyptian pounds so far.
The source explained that companies such as Al-Nasr General Contracting “Hassan Allam”, Mokhtar Ibrahim, Egyptian Contracting, “Al-Abd”, and Hydelco are executing massive infrastructure projects in dozens of villages across various governorates. These projects include extending sewage networks, drinking water, road paving, building service complexes, schools, youth centers, health units, and agricultural complexes.
He added that this participation is a practical translation of the role of public business sector companies in supporting the state’s efforts to achieve sustainable development and improve citizens’ living standards, especially in the most needy areas. These projects also contribute to providing thousands of direct and indirect job opportunities for the villagers.
He pointed out that the initiative represents a great opportunity to revive the role of state-owned construction and development companies and restore their leadership in implementing national projects, noting that the ministry closely monitors the execution rates and quality of performance.
The source concluded by emphasizing that the continued participation of the Holding Company for Construction in “Hayah Kareema” reflects its ability to work efficiently on national projects and contributes to maximizing the social and economic returns from the state’s investments in infrastructure.
