His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, recalled his first day at school. He was small but had big dreams. On the occasion of the start of the new academic year 2025-2026, His Highness posted a video on his Instagram account saying: “I remember my first day at school… I was small but my dreams were big… Knowledge is light and education elevates nations… With the start of every academic year, a new dream is born… and we write the future of our nation… Remember, with knowledge we rise and with morals we build.”
