Helmy Tolan, the head coach of Egypt’s second national team, requested the organization of a triangular friendly tournament in November as preparation for participating in the Arab Cup in Qatar in December. The team is confirmed to play two friendly matches against Bahrain in October after the Egyptian Football Association successfully arranged the matches. The coaching staff aims to play more friendlies before the Arab Cup and will face Tunisia in a camp next September. Tolan requested comprehensive technical reports on the Tunisian team ahead of the two friendly matches scheduled for September 6 and 9 during the international calendar period. This move is part of serious preparations for the awaited tournament hosted in Doha, Qatar, in December. The Egyptian Football Association board, headed by Hani Abu Rida, approved the two friendly matches against Tunisia in Cairo as part of optimal team preparation.

The team’s camp is set to start on September 1 and continue until September 9, coinciding with the international break. The technical staff is communicating with several Arab and African teams to arrange additional friendlies in October and November to enhance player cohesion and readiness. Tolan also confirmed that the technical staff will monitor the Egyptian Premier League matches starting soon to identify key players for the final squad, following the announcement of the official list for Egypt’s first team. The Arab Cup draw placed Egypt in Group C alongside Jordan, the UAE, and the winner of the Mauritania-Kuwait match.
