In a move blending family fame and business ambition, Kai Trump, granddaughter of former U.S. President Donald Trump, launched her own clothing and jacket brand “KT” on Thursday, a project experts predict will earn millions of dollars in its first year, according to Newsweek magazine.
The 18-year-old Kai, daughter of Donald Trump Jr., appeared in promotional photos for the new clothing line taken in the White House garden during her visit to her grandfather. She wore a white sweatshirt priced at $130, printed with the “KT” logo on the chest and her signature on the sleeves. The designs are simple and versatile, with wide women’s sizes and stylish unisex options, including crew-neck sweatshirts and jackets at the same price.
The promotional shoot inside the White House was not without controversy, coinciding with Kai standing next to President Trump during a Friday press briefing, where he introduced her saying, “This is Kai, by the way.” Her name had gained attention last year when she delivered a speech at the Republican Party conference.
On social media, Kai wrote on Instagram a post that garnered millions of views within hours: “This collection is a long-awaited dream, and I am grateful it became a reality. Launching this line was an exciting project, from fabric quality to design details. I wanted to create a piece that is not just merchandise but a staple that can be worn anywhere.”
Taylor Price, a financial expert for Gen Z, said the new brand “will attract huge attention thanks to the family name and media visibility,” adding that revenues could reach between $5 and $10 million in the first year if distribution and media interest succeed, with potential expansion to tens of millions later if other product lines are included.
Kai Trump, the eldest granddaughter of President Trump, has become known in recent years for her videos on TikTok and Instagram, where she is followed by over 6 million users. She shares glimpses of her daily life as the U.S. president’s granddaughter, including trips with her grandfather to the White House and golf courses. She has also signed sponsorship deals with brands like Taylormade and Accelerator Energy, boosting her status among new generation celebrities.
Newsweek magazine viewed Kai’s entry into the fashion world as more than a personal project; it reflects the start of a new phase in the long-standing Trump family business journey. While the grandfather maintains his political and media presence, the new generation is building its own paths, keeping the “Trump” name alive in politics as well as in commerce and fashion.
