Hossam Hassan, head coach of the Egyptian national football team, intends to include Ahmed Fattouh, the left-back of Zamalek, in the training camp for the matches against Ethiopia and Burkina Faso, provided that he participates in the upcoming league matches against Pharco and Wadi Degla. Fattouh has been absent from playing with Zamalek since the start of the league. If he performs well in these matches, Hassan will call him up to the national team.

The Egyptian national team, led by Hossam Hassan, will travel to Burkina Faso on September 7 to face Burkina Faso on September 9 in the eighth round of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. The training camp will begin on September 1 in Cairo to prepare for the match against Ethiopia on September 5 at Cairo Stadium in the seventh round of the qualifiers.

The Egyptian Football Association board, chaired by Hani Abu Rida, has decided to provide a special plane for the team’s travel to Burkina Faso, a journey lasting about seven hours.

Egypt leads Group A in the African qualifiers with 16 points after six rounds, remaining undefeated. The Pharaohs have achieved five wins and one draw, scoring 14 goals and conceding only two, demonstrating clear superiority over their rivals and moving closer to securing qualification for the World Cup to be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Burkina Faso ranks second with 11 points, followed closely by Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, and Guinea-Bissau, while Djibouti is at the bottom with just one point.
