The Luxor Culture branch held awareness and cultural meetings as part of the General Authority for Cultural Palaces’ agenda, headed by Major General Khaled El-Laban, within the Ministry of Culture’s program to spread awareness in the governorates. The Urban Center offered a talent discovery workshop conducted by Marwa Awadallah. The Child and Youth Library at the Democracy Cultural Center held a plastic arts workshop “Draw and Color” with library attendees. The Armant Cultural Palace organized a lecture titled “Values of Community Participation” delivered by Ahmed Mahmoud, explaining that community participation includes essential values such as interaction, citizenship, accountability, cooperation, transparency, inclusiveness, and sustainability. It aims to involve all community members in decision-making, enhance social cohesion, and achieve sustainable development.
Among the activities of the Luxor Culture branch, headed by Hussein Al-Noubi and supervised by Mahmoud Abdel Wahab of the South Upper Egypt Cultural Region, the Hassan Fathy Cultural Palace organized a poetry evening featuring poet Ahmed Shams El-Din titled “Travel Bag.” The Luxor Cultural Palace prepared an art workshop called “Colors of Life” led by Safaa Hassan, a plastic arts specialist. The Child Cultural Palace at the Al-Birr and Taqwa Association held a plastic arts workshop trained by Amira Hamouda. The palace also offered a storytelling workshop about the “Eiffel Tower” authored by Hazem Hashem and narrated by Susan Selim.
The Bahaa Taher Cultural Palace prepared a storytelling workshop titled “The Oppressed Bird” authored by Mohamed Sadiq Al-Manshawi and narrated by Iman Mahmoud. The Hager Al-Adisat Cultural Palace held a diverse cultural day including entertainment segments for children, a cultural competition, talent discovery, drawing workshops, and foam paper crafts. The Rayana Cultural Library held a lecture titled “The Role of the Child in Society” delivered by Ahmed Mohamed Ali, emphasizing that the child is not the property of the parents and discussing children’s rights and their role in the family.
