Al Ahly turned their 0-1 deficit against rivals Zamalek until the 71st minute into a 2-1 victory within seven minutes in the Egyptian Premier League football summit.

Al Ahly, who have a postponed match, raised their points tally to 15, two points behind league leaders Zamalek.

Zamalek translated their early dominance into a lead with a penalty taken by Abdullah Al-Saeed, saved by goalkeeper El-Shenawy, but the referee ordered a retake after VAR review, which was successfully converted by Hossam Abdel Meguid (32).

Substitute Hussein El Shahat quickly equalized with a precise pass from Mohamed Sherif (71), then won a penalty that Mahmoud Trezeguet converted, announcing a red summit for Al Ahly (78).
