US President Donald Trump said he would be proud to visit the Gaza Strip, expressing his hope to “set foot there soon.” Trump added in press remarks: “I look forward to seeing Gaza and peace prevailing there, and I would like to be there someday to witness it myself,” noting that his potential visit would be symbolic and supportive of peace efforts in the region.
Trump’s statements come days after announcing an agreement regarding Gaza.
