US President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin following his meetings last week at the White House with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders. Trump told reporters that every conversation he has with Putin is good, despite the unfortunate bombings continuing in Kyiv or elsewhere, which greatly anger him. The US-Russia talks were preceded by a historic summit between Trump and Putin in Alaska, aiming to reach an agreement to end the Russian war on Ukraine. Trump also mentioned that their discussion touched on nuclear disarmament, with plans to involve China in this dialogue. Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held talks with foreign ministers from Ukraine, France, Germany, the UK, Italy, Finland, and the European Union to continue diplomatic efforts to end the war.
