The Media Center of Damietta Port Authority issued a statement today announcing the smooth navigation and cargo handling activities within the port during the past 24 hours. The port received 15 ships and saw 12 ships depart, bringing the total number of vessels at the docks to 27.

The port witnessed notable activity in ship arrivals and departures, reflecting smooth and stable logistics operations.

Exports of general cargo during the same period reached 23,072 tons, including 16,308 tons of urea, 2,900 tons of beet feed, 254 tons of packed gypsum, 638 tons of clinker, and 2,972 tons of various goods.

Imports of general cargo totaled 53,546 tons, distributed as follows: 8,074 tons of wheat, 27,105 tons of corn, 6,273 tons of scrap, 1,150 tons of cooking oil, 9,944 tons of iron, 900 tons of beans, and 100 tons of various goods.

Regarding containers, the authority recorded the export of 721 TEUs, import of 68 TEUs, and 1,644 TEUs in transit.

The statement confirmed that the grain silo stock for the public sector at the port reached 73,197 tons of wheat, while the private sector warehouses held 15,470 tons.

The port also saw active land transport, with 3 trains carrying a total of 3,720 tons of wheat heading to the “Kom Abu Radi” silos, and 2,952 trucks entering and leaving the port.
