Manchester City suffered a 2-1 defeat against their hosts Brighton in the third round of the English Premier League.
City opened the scoring in the 34th minute through Norwegian star Erling Haaland, assisted by Egyptian international Omar Mermoush, who continued his impressive form with the Sky Blues.
However, Brighton turned the game around in the second half, with James Milner equalizing from a penalty in the 67th minute, before Brayan Groda snatched the winning goal in the 89th minute, securing a valuable victory for his team.
With this result, Brighton raised their points tally to 4, placing them 10th, while Manchester City remained at 3 points in 12th place, continuing the defending champions’ unstable start to the new season.
