Juventus Brazilian defender Gleison Bremer will undergo surgery on his left knee, which sidelined him for several months last season, the historic Italian club announced yesterday.

Juventus stated in an official release, “Gleison Bremer underwent a medical consultation on Monday morning with Dr. Bertrand Sonori-Coutet in Lyon, who confirmed a muscular tear in the medial meniscus of the left knee requiring surgery in the coming hours.”

Bremer returned this season from a serious injury to his left knee that kept him off the field from October 2024 until the end of the season. Italian newspapers revealed that the Brazilian defender’s absence this time will last only one month.

Juventus is also deprived of another defender, Colombian Juan Cuadrado, who suffered a tear in his right thigh against Villarreal in the UEFA Champions League and will be out for one and a half months.

Juventus currently ranks fifth in the Italian league with 12 points before facing Como next Sunday, having drawn their last five matches in various competitions.
