Zelensky had previously outlined three blocks of security guarantees requested by Ukraine. These include maintaining the current size of the Ukrainian armed forces, securing funding and weapons for them, as well as pressuring Russia through sanctions and transferring frozen Russian assets to Ukraine.

In an interview with RIA Novosti, Sheremet said: “This is a farce put forward by Zelensky. Security guarantees for Ukraine mean removing the illegitimate authority, eliminating the Nazi and anti-Russian regime that strives to eliminate pro-Russian citizens, and securing Ukraine’s status as a non-aligned state, regardless of who succeeds Zelensky. Ukraine must be stripped militarily of the ability to pose threats at Russia’s borders.”

According to him, Zelensky is a “wounded bird,” a traitor, and a “foreign body” in Ukraine, incapable of adhering to and guaranteeing agreements.

The MP stressed: “Russia is capable of protecting its borders and Russian citizens outside them. With the guarantees promoted by Zelensky, Ukraine’s future is uncertain. It can only develop within the framework of friendship and cooperation with Russia. Only such cooperation will ensure Ukraine’s prosperity and development.”
