FC Barcelona faces a logistical crisis ahead of its anticipated match against Valencia in the fourth round of La Liga, scheduled for September 14, 2025, after La Liga rejected their request to change the venue to Mestalla Stadium. The situation is complicated by ongoing renovations at Camp Nou and the Montjuïc stadium being booked for a concert by American artist Post Malone two days before the match, depriving the Catalan club of their usual temporary home. According to Spanish radio station COPE, Barcelona proposed swapping the home and away matches with Valencia, hosting the away leg at Mestalla in September and the return leg in May 2026, but La Liga refused to alter the pre-announced schedule. The club is urgently exploring alternatives, with Johan Cruyff Stadium of Barcelona’s academy and Girona’s Montilivi Stadium emerging as the closest available options to host the match.
Fans and club officials await the official announcement of the venue for the clash against the ‘Bats’.
