The Health Directorate of Qena Governorate announced in an official statement issued today, Tuesday, that the main building of Qift Specialized Hospital experienced a partial power outage yesterday, affecting the intensive care and cardiac units on the first floor, as well as the neonatal incubators on the second floor.

The directorate added that the teams responded immediately by activating the urgent evacuation plan according to approved medical procedures, safely transferring patients without recording any complications or negative effects on their health conditions.

According to the statement, the following actions were taken:

• Three cases were transferred from the intensive care unit to the cardiac care unit on the fourth floor, connected to ventilators.
• Eleven infants in incubators were managed, with four discharged after their health stabilized.
• Four other cases requiring oxygen were moved to the children’s care unit.
• Three stable children were transferred to internal rooms under close monitoring.

The Health Directorate confirmed that the health status of all patients and children is completely stable, the electrical fault was fully repaired, and all necessary technical and preventive measures were taken to ensure such incidents do not recur in the future.

The directorate concluded its statement by affirming the readiness of hospitals to face any emergencies, urging citizens to be reassured about the preparedness of medical and technical teams, and emphasizing the continuous commitment to providing safe and appropriate medical care at all times.
