The Jordanian-Saudi Business Forum, organized by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Saudi Chambers Union, kicks off on Wednesday with wide participation from various economic sectors in both countries.

The forum is held in the capital Amman for one day and aims to explore investment opportunities, discuss the possibility of implementing joint projects that serve economic interests, enhance bilateral trade cooperation, and develop partnerships in energy, tourism, information technology, food security, and logistics sectors.

The forum includes economic and bilateral meetings between business owners from both sides, in addition to enhancing integration between chambers of commerce and exchanging expertise to develop the business environment and improve the competitiveness of the private sector.

A large and high-level Saudi delegation participates in the forum, headed by Hassan bin Muajab Al-Huwaizi, President of the Saudi Chambers Union, including a select group of businessmen and investors, as well as representatives from several Saudi ministries and government agencies, including the Ministries of Economy, Industry, Investment, and the General Authority for Trade.

According to a statement issued by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, the forum witnesses the presence of representatives from Jordanian and Saudi entities and companies active in various sectors, notably investment, trade, industry, tourism, education, health, agriculture, information technology, cybersecurity, logistics, infrastructure, contracting, marketing, financial and legal services, and the green economy.

For his part, Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, confirmed that the forum represents a pivotal station for building a joint economic vision between Jordan and Saudi Arabia based on economic integration rather than competition, enhancing opportunities for mutual growth.

He pointed out that Saudi Arabia is a strategic partner for Jordan, with distinguished and deeply rooted relations at political and economic levels, calling for building on these relations to establish a new phase of fruitful cooperation.

Al-Haj Tawfiq expressed hope that the forum would mark a new starting point for a promising phase of Jordanian-Saudi cooperation, driven by the shared desire to develop relations in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples and enhances their regional economic standing.

On the sidelines of the forum, the Jordanian-Saudi Joint Business Council meeting is held, with the participation of a select group of businessmen and investors from both countries, aiming to strengthen economic partnership and expand areas of trade and investment cooperation.

The council is one of the effective institutional frameworks in strengthening relations between the Jordanian and Saudi private sectors, seeking to create a supportive business environment, stimulate joint economic initiatives, facilitate trade exchange, and organize specialized events that serve the aspirations of businessmen.

Al-Haj Tawfiq, who heads the Jordanian side of the council, confirmed that these meetings enhance communication channels and provide an effective platform to discuss future projects and memoranda of understanding, stressing the need to continue economic visits and intensify joint activities.

He explained that the council, chaired on the Saudi side by engineer Abdulrahman Hassan Al-Thubaity, aims to activate investment and trade cooperation between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, in line with the aspirations of the private sector in both countries.
