The team concluded their training yesterday, with Osama Nabih urging the players not to dwell on the first match, emphasizing that there is still a chance to achieve a good result to advance from the group stage.

The group standings after Egypt’s loss to Japan and Chile’s win over New Zealand are: Japan first with 3 points, Chile second with 3 points, New Zealand third with 0 points, and Egypt fourth also with 0 points.

The Pharaohs still have the opportunity to correct their path in the tournament by winning against New Zealand in the second round to revive hopes of advancing to the next stage.

The main refereeing committee of FIFA appointed a Saudi refereeing team led by Khaled Al-Turais to officiate the match between Egypt and New Zealand.

Khaled Al-Turais will be the main referee, assisted by Mohamed Al-Abri as first assistant, Abdulrahim Al-Shammari as second assistant, Nazmi Nasaruddin as fourth official, and Halil Ziroul as reserve referee.
