The Saudi capital Riyadh witnesses today the launch of Riyadh Season 2025 with a massive artistic and parade event, the largest in its history, marking the start of the sixth edition of the region’s most famous entertainment event, eagerly awaited annually by local and global audiences as an icon of cultural and entertainment events worldwide.
This year’s season comes with a renewed theme combining artistic shows, sports championships, and cultural activities, with a notable expansion in the number of areas and events compared to previous seasons.
The edition includes 11 main zones, most notably Boulevard World, Al-Azariya, and Suwaidi Park, in addition to the “Beast Land” area created in partnership with global content creator MrBeast to offer innovative experiences and events including 12 experiences, 15 motion games, and 40 shops and restaurants.
The Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Advisor Turki Al-Sheikh, stated that this year’s season will be “the largest and most diverse,” noting it includes 15 global championships, 34 exhibitions and festivals, alongside large concerts and plays featuring a selection of Arab and international artists.
Al-Sheikh confirmed that preparations involved more than 2,000 companies, 95% of which are local, along with cooperation with global brands to provide unprecedented experiences during the season.
Riyadh Season represents one of the qualitative initiatives developing the entertainment sector within Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to diversify the national economy.
It also creates thousands of direct and indirect jobs, activates hospitality, retail, and transport sectors, and highlights Saudi talents in various creative fields.
The season attracts millions of visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom, thanks to its world-class events and an entertainment environment that enhances Riyadh’s status as a regional destination for fun and creativity.
The capital is also expected to witness a broad boom in hotel occupancy rates, shopping, and restaurant activity during the season, supported by the global presence at the event.
The season invited Riyadh residents to attend the parade described by the Entertainment Authority as “exceptional.” It includes various shows in the “Boulevard World” area organized by the American company Macy’s, known globally for hosting a parade featuring a group of giant balloons, each requiring hundreds of people to move due to their size and high artistic precision.
It is worth mentioning that the previous Riyadh Season achieved more than 110 billion media impressions across global platforms, with attendance exceeding 20 million visitors from more than 135 countries.
