The “Loyalty to the Resistance” bloc held its regular session chaired by MP Muhammad Raad, discussing various political and parliamentary issues related to Lebanon, Palestine, and the region.

The bloc’s statement highlighted the ongoing brutal criminal aggression by the Zionist enemy against Gaza Strip, including starvation, killing, and destruction, with preparations to occupy Gaza city and plans to annex the West Bank. Palestinian resistance factions, led by Hamas, continue their heroic struggle inflicting heavy losses on the enemy.

The statement condemned the shameful international abandonment and full US partnership in the aggression against Gaza, praising Yemen’s steadfast position supporting Palestine and Gaza, and extended condolences to the Yemeni leadership and families of martyrs following Israeli airstrikes on Sanaa.

The bloc noted the enemy leaders’ repeated positions and their determination not to implement any obligations of the agreement with Lebanon announced on 27/11/2024, including cessation of hostilities, withdrawal from occupied points, and stopping assassinations, bombings, and daily violations of sovereignty.

It urged the Lebanese government to reconsider its decisions, especially regarding the resistance’s weapons, and to return to dialogue and understanding as called for by Speaker Nabih Berri, to find a way out of the crisis caused by the government’s submission to external pressures.

Furthermore, the bloc called on the government to fulfill its commitments to reconstruction by including clear financial allocations in the 2026 budget to cover reconstruction costs and meet the needs of affected people.

Finally, the government must move beyond its paralysis and confusion in addressing the economic and living hardships of Lebanese citizens and fully implement the Taif Agreement without selective interpretation.
