The General Authority for Statistics signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Center for Statistics and Information in the Sultanate of Oman aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation and developing statistical work between the two parties. The memorandum was signed by the President of the General Authority for Statistics, Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Dosari, and the CEO of the National Center for Statistics and Information, Dr. Khalifa bin Abdullah Al-Browani, in the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to Oman, Mr. Ibrahim bin Saad bin Bishan.

The President of the General Authority for Statistics affirmed that this memorandum comes as an extension of the Kingdom’s efforts to strengthen regional and international statistical partnerships and support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 by enhancing Gulf integration in the statistical field. He pointed out that it reflects the strong fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and their mutual keenness to develop statistical work to serve decision-makers and support sustainable development plans.

For his part, the CEO of the National Center for Statistics and Information in Oman, Dr. Khalifa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Browani, expressed that this memorandum is an important step towards building an integrated Gulf statistical system that contributes to producing accurate and reliable data supporting decision-makers. He noted that cooperation with the General Authority for Statistics will open broader horizons for exchanging expertise and developing national competencies to serve common interests.

It is worth mentioning that the signing of the memorandum crowned the visit of the General Authority for Statistics delegation to the National Center for Statistics and Information in Oman, which included holding discussion sessions on the most prominent developments and statistical projects at local and international levels to enhance integration and exchange expertise between the two sides.
