His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, affirmed that since the formation of the Union, the UAE has laid the foundations of charitable work and serving the needy, continuing steadfastly to promote the values of solidarity and humanitarian giving both inside the country and abroad.

This came during His Highness’s reception, attended by His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Hamid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, of the newly formed Board of Trustees of the Global Charity Authority, chaired by Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi.

His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi welcomed the chairman and members of the new board, emphasizing that their selection for this humanitarian mission was based on their extensive experience, good reputation, and pioneering work in the field of charity and giving.

He pointed out that humanitarian work is a noble message that brings reward and blessing; it is both an honor and a responsibility. It also contributes to enhancing the UAE’s reputation and global standing in this field, stressing the importance of strengthening local and international partnerships to achieve sustainable charitable work.

His Highness said: “You represent the Global Charity Authority that we established 41 years ago, which was among the first organizations to achieve significant humanitarian accomplishments in education, health, relief, orphan sponsorship, mosque construction, and well digging, becoming today one of the most prominent charitable institutions in the region.”

He called on the board members to continue developing the authority’s work with qualitative initiatives and projects in sustainable humanitarian work, wishing the new board success in their blessed charitable duties.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamid Al Nuaimi, Representative of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman for Administrative and Financial Affairs, along with several sheikhs and senior officials.

For his part, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Global Charity Authority, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi and His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Hamid Al Nuaimi for their continuous support and constant patronage of the authority’s journey since its establishment, affirming that this support is a fundamental pillar in its success and ongoing humanitarian contributions.

He said the Board of Trustees will work on developing strategies and future plans that align with the wise leadership’s aspirations to establish the UAE’s position as a capital for charitable and humanitarian work, according to the highest standards of transparency and governance in institutional performance.

He explained that the board will adopt innovation and employ smart digital solutions to facilitate procedures and enhance communication with donors, expressing gratitude to the teams and donors who have been essential partners in creating humanitarian impact that has reached dozens of countries worldwide over the past decades.

The new Board of Trustees includes Abdul Rahman Ghanem Abdul Rahman Al Matyoui as Vice President, and members Sultan Khalifa bin Harib Al Muhairi, Raed Obaid Mohammed Al Zaabi, Aisha Mohammed Saeed Al Mulla, Obaid Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, Dr. Abdullah Mohammed bin Shaml Al Maamari, Saeed Ahmed Rashid bin Shbeeb, and Afra Bakhit Saif bin Hindi Al Alili.
