Tripoli, August 31, 2025 (WAL) – The Chairman of the Presidential Council and Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, Mohamed Al-Menfi, met today, Sunday, with members of the 5+5 Joint Military Committee for the western region to discuss the latest military and security developments in the area.
The media office of the Presidential Council stated that the meeting reviewed the de-escalation efforts led by the Council’s Chairman aimed at achieving security and political stability and enhancing comprehensive peace in the country, in addition to emphasizing the importance of implementing the ceasefire across Libya.
During the meeting, the committee provided a detailed briefing on the results of its recent meeting in Tunis, which focused on the unification of the military institution.
