The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Talal bin Abdulmohsen bin Shalhoub, stated that proactive security monitoring of criminal networks involved in drug trafficking, based on information provided by the Saudi Ministry of Interior represented by the General Directorate of Narcotics Control to its counterpart in the United Arab Emirates, led to the UAE authorities foiling an attempt to smuggle 89,760 amphetamine pills hidden in a shipment of clothing accessories.
The security spokesperson confirmed that Saudi Arabia continues to monitor criminal activities targeting the security of the Kingdom, its youth, and the brotherly and friendly countries with drugs, confronting and thwarting them.
