The Global Water Expo, the largest and most prominent trade event in the water sector in Saudi Arabia organized by DMG Events, will take place from September 2 to 4, 2025, at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center. The event will bring together local and international solution providers in water, wastewater treatment, and environmental management.

The expo comes at a time when Saudi Arabia is accelerating investments in sustainable water infrastructure, with the National Water Company announcing 30 new water and sewage projects in Riyadh valued at $533 million, highlighting the urgent need for targeted solutions and strategic partnerships.

Mohammed Kazi, Senior Vice President of DMG Events, commented: “The Global Water Expo represents a strategic event for the water sector in the Kingdom, connecting local and international solution providers with opportunities in the Saudi market. Due to strong demand, the expo has evolved to become larger and more specialized, reflecting the rapid growth of the sector and the expo’s role in gathering expertise and solutions aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and sustainability goals, contributing to addressing challenges and shaping the Kingdom’s water infrastructure for years to come.”

Over three busy days, more than 300 exhibiting companies from over 25 countries will showcase the latest technologies and systems to tackle water challenges, including international pavilions from China, Germany, India, Spain, and Switzerland.

The water and wastewater treatment market in Saudi Arabia is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 5.86% from 2025 to 2031, driven by urban and industrial expansion and the need for effective wastewater management systems. According to the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, treated water use in the Kingdom increased by nearly 200% between 2007 and 2018, with an expected annual growth of 4% in treated water from 2025 to 2050.

The expo will feature a mix of returning and first-time exhibitors unveiling advanced water treatment systems, smart monitoring tools, and resource recovery technologies. Key exhibitors include Wilo, Xylem, ABB, Veolia Technologies, LG Chem, Medisun, REDA Water, the National Water Works Company (NWWC), Toray, and Ebara Pumps.

Fahad Al-Fahad, CTO of GI AquaTech, the expo’s gold sponsor, said: “We are pleased to return to the Global Water Expo in Riyadh as a gold sponsor. We are proud to showcase our award-winning G-Nano technology, a non-biological, waste-free treatment system that transforms wastewater into a valuable resource. Whether for large projects, industrial facilities, or remote sites, our units deliver exceptional results using less space, less energy, and maximum water reuse across sectors. We invite you to visit our booth to see for yourself and look forward to connecting and pushing innovation boundaries together.”

The Global Water Expo proudly collaborates with a distinguished network of partners and sponsors, including gold sponsor GI AquaTech, and supporters such as the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, AUMA, the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX), Fluidex, and SwissEnviro.
