Ahmed Al-Muslimani, Chairman of the National Media Authority, stated that Egypt’s ongoing efforts to end the aggression on Gaza are not limited to reaching a ceasefire but extend to rebuilding the sector and repairing its infrastructure, emphasizing that the ultimate goal is to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Al-Muslimani added, during his speech at the Maspero Cultural Salon broadcast on the First Channel on Saturday evening, that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi clearly expressed that a ceasefire is a first step but not the end goal, affirming that “Egypt views the post-war period as a moment for reconstruction politically, humanely, and geographically.”

He pointed out that religious extremism is no longer merely an intellectual deviation but has turned into “a real tool for destroying countries and undermining regional regimes,” stressing that many international powers use these phenomena as arms to destabilize the region.

Al-Muslimani also reviewed the scene of open conflicts worldwide, from Congo to Ukraine, considering that “the world is witnessing a state of strategic uncertainty amid a turbulent international system and ongoing conflicts,” highlighting the US-China rivalry, the US-Russia conflict, and the rise of the BRICS bloc as an influential player in the global system.

He explained that Egypt moves steadily in a turbulent world, adopting a balanced foreign policy based on supporting regional stability and championing just causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, noting that political circles are awaiting a forthcoming visit by US President Donald Trump to Cairo and the developments that may result from the anticipated “Sharm El-Sheikh Agreement.”
