Maestro Dr. Mostafa Helmy is one of the veteran music professors who leads several orchestras inside and outside the Egyptian Opera House. Helmy is highly respected and loved by many singers across the Arab world, possessing both talent and extensive experience in music, as highlighted below especially ahead of a series of important upcoming concerts for music and singing lovers before the start of the Arab Music Festival.
This year, he participates in the 33rd edition of the Arab Music Festival, leading the orchestras of stars Hany Shaker and Saber Al-Rubaie. He has also previously conducted ensembles for several major Arab stars such as the famous singer Asala.
Maestro Mostafa Helmy holds a PhD in music and is a maestro at the Opera. He comes from a distinguished musical family with a rich history in music and singing. His late father, the composer Helmy Amin, who passed away in 2010, served as the head of the Musicians’ Syndicate for three consecutive terms. His uncle is the poet Abdel Salam Amin, and his aunt is the wife of the late musician Mohamed El Mogy, who was also married to the singer Souma.
