Yahya Al-Ghasani, a player of the national football team, described the friendly match against Syria as “strong both physically and technically,” serving as a solid and useful preparation before the Asian qualification playoff for the 2026 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Qatar next month.
Al-Ghasani said in post-match comments: “Our team greatly benefited from the encounter, regardless of the result. Everyone showed they are united as one, and all sought to use the experience to highlight the strength and value of the White before facing Oman and Qatar.”
He ruled out any pressure on the team despite playing the qualification playoff away, stating: “The pressure will not be on us; it might be greater on the opponents. From our side, we have one goal: to qualify and fulfill the nation’s dream of reaching the World Cup.”
